SEATTLE (AP) - The Washington State Department Of Transportation says eastbound Interstate 90 between Seattle and Bellevue will be reduced to one lane this weekend.

Some traffic will be rerouted on express lanes until early Monday morning.

The lanes will be shut down so crews can upgrade operation and safety systems in the eastbound Mount Baker and Mercer Island tunnels.

Transportation officials say this will be the last weekend-long directional closure until October, but not the end of construction on I-90.
