2 killed when car crashes into tree in upstate NY

WEBSTER, N.Y. (AP) - A man and woman are dead after their car hit a tree on a winding road in upstate New York.

The Democrat and Chronicle of Rochester reports (https://on.rocne.ws/1B3PMyN ) that the crash happened shortly before 7 a.m. Saturday in Webster.

The victims were in their 20s. Their names were not immediately released.

The newspaper says the section of road where the pair crashed has numerous curves and hills.

Webster is in Monroe County about 15 miles northeast of Rochester.
