DOVER, Del. (AP) - Dover police are seeking a suspect in an afternoon shooting that sent a 19-year-old man to the hospital.

Police say the shooting occurred just before 2 p.m. on Friday. Police say officers responded to several calls reporting gunshots near the Capital Green development. When they arrived, police found the victim in the driver side of a gold Dodge Intrepid. The victim told police he’d been injured by gunfire.

The victim was taken to a hospital, and later flown to a different hospital for further treatment.

Police say 25-year-old Rakim Strickland is the suspect in the shooting, and is wanted for attempted murder, criminal mischief, trespassing and several gun-related charges.
