ATLANTA (AP) - Georgia wildlife officials say four archery teams from the state have placed in the top 12 at a national tournament.

Department of Natural Resources officials say Cohutta Elementary School placed second in the elementary team division and Woodlawn Elementary finished third at the competition in Louisville, Kentucky. Officials say Bethlehem Elementary, Bay Creek Elementary and Loganville Middle School also placed in the top 12 of their divisions.

Officials say more than 12,000 competitors from 42 states participated in the event. Wildlife officials say about 500 archers from more than 25 Georgia teams participated in this year’s competition.
