TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - Tucson police say a man found shot to death early Saturday in a hotel parking lot may have been involved in a gang-related attack.
Sgt. Kimberly Bay says an officer heard gunshots in an area near the Tucson Airport around 12:30 a.m. and found 29-year-old Floyd Davis with clear signs of gunshot trauma.
Bay says he was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to police, Davis and a friend got out of their vehicle and began walking toward La Quinta Inn & Suites when shots were fired at them.
Bay says the suspects fled before police got there.
No arrests have been made but investigators say the shooting appears gang-related.
The incident was in a neighborhood dominated by hotels because of the proximity to the airport.
