CLINTONVILLE, Wis. (AP) - Authorities have released the names of a couple who died in a crash near Clintonville in northeastern Wisconsin.

The Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office says the driver was 87-year-old William Allen while his passenger was 87-year-old Rose Allen, both of nearby Marion.

The sheriff’s office says the Allens’ car was trying to cross Highway 45 when it was hit by an oncoming car around 10:30 a.m. Thursday.

Rose Allen died at the scene, while William Allen died at Theda Clark Medical Center in Neenah.

The driver and passenger of the other vehicle were not hurt.
