HUNTINGTON STATION, N.Y. (AP) - Police say a 27-year-old motorcyclist is dead after he hit a minivan on Long Island.
Suffolk County police tell Newsday (https://nwsdy.li/1e6SzCu ) that Brett Rainey was riding his motorcycle in Huntington Station at 5:30 p.m. Friday when he broadsided the minivan.
Rainey, of Huntington Station, was pronounced dead at Huntington Hospital.
Police say the minivan’s driver, 18-yar-old Lucas McAfee, was trying to make a left turn into a parking lot when his vehicle was struck.
McAfee and his three passengers were not injured.
The investigation is continuing.
