ND DOT using 3-D hologram tool to stress seat belt use

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - The state Department of Transportation is using a new educational tool to stress the importance of wearing a seat belt.

KXMB-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1Gc4UQF ) the tool uses three-dimensional hologram technology that depicts different stages of a crash, ending with a driver ejected from a vehicle.

The displays will be used by driver’s education instructors and at schools.

Officials say law enforcement also is increasing patrols this month to focus on the state’s seat belt law.
