DAYTON, Ohio (AP) - A ceremony in southwestern Ohio is set to honor area Vietnam veterans and mark the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam War.
The city of Dayton says the Saturday ceremony honoring Dayton-area veterans will include the addition of Gunner 3rd Class Gary L. Crampton’s name to a monument at the Old North Dayton War Memorial.
Crampton graduated from a Dayton high school. He was killed in action in Vietnam.
City Commissioner Matt Joseph and the city’s planning and community development department are hosting the event. It will feature a performance by the 88th Air Base Wing Honor Guard.
