WALTERS, Okla. (AP) - The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a 15-year-old Walters boy has died in a kayaking accident in West Cache Creek near Walters.
The OHP said Saturday that the boy’s body had been found after he disappeared Friday afternoon. The boy’s name was not released.
The patrol says the boy and five others were on the water when his kayak overturned. The five others made it to shore, but the boy disappeared.
The OHP says the boy was wearing a flotation device. A suspected cause of death is not listed.
