DETROIT (AP) - Detroit police say four officers and a 16-year-old car break-in suspect were injured when a drunken man drove his pickup truck into a parked squad car.

Police spokeswoman Officer Shanelle Williams tells The Associated Press it happened about 11 p.m. Saturday.

Williams says the officers were investigating a car break-in and had the teenage boy in the back seat of the squad car.

She says a 54-year-old pickup driver struck the patrol car, hurting two officers and the teen inside and two officers standing outside. She says all five were taken to hospitals for treatment and were listed in temporarily serious condition.

There was no immediate update on their conditions Sunday evening.

Williams says the pickup driver was unhurt and is in custody.
