CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (AP) - Harrison County’s circuit court judges have asked the West Virginia Supreme Court to appoint a special judge in two cases.

The Exponent Telegram (https://bit.ly/1B5UX1q ) reports that one case involves a Harrison County magistrate charged with sexual abuse. The other involves a defendant who is the son of another Harrison County magistrate.

Circuit Judges James Matish, Thomas Bedell and John Lewis Marks Jr. recently wrote to Supreme Court Chief Justice Margaret L. Workman recusing themselves from each case. The judges cited close working relationships with both magistrates.
