PORTLAND, Maine (AP) - A group of lawyers is holding an event in Portland to introduce farmers and food industry workers to legal services.

Conservation Law Foundation is hosting the event at One Portland Square on Monday. The foundation says it will introduce interested people to its Legal Services Food Hub program. The program connects small-scale farmers, food businesses and other organizations with free legal services.

Conservation Law Foundation launched its first Legal Services Food Hub in Massachusetts last year. Democratic U.S. Representative Chellie Pingree will attend Monday’s event. University of Maine Law School Dean Danielle Conway will also present information.
