PARIS (AP) - Lyon forward Alexandre Lacazette was named France’s player of the year at an awards ceremony in Paris on Sunday.

The 23-year-old Lacazette, who is Ligue 1’s leading scorer with 27 goals to propel his side to second place, beat Paris Saint-Germain stars Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Javier Pastore and Marco Verratti to the prize, voted for by his peers.

Ibrahimovic had won the award the past two seasons.

Lacazette’s teammate, Nabil Fekir, was named young player of the year.

After winning a second successive title with PSG, Laurent Blanc was voted coach of the season - an award he also won in 2008, when at Bordeaux.

There were six PSG players in the team of the season, three from Lyon and two from Marseille, including Steve Mandanda, who was voted goalkeeper of the year for a third time.
