NEW YORK (AP) - Authorities are looking for suspects in connection to the assault of a 16-year-old teen on a subway train in Brooklyn.
The New York Police Department says the attack happened around 3:30 p.m. Friday, on the L train traveling southbound from the Broadway Junction station.
Police say a group of males approached the teen and asked him what gang he was in. When he said he wasn’t in a gang, they started punching and kicking him.
Authorities say the group pulled the teen off the train at the Atlantic Avenue station and continued the assault. The teen was knocked unconscious, and the suspects took his phone, sneakers and jeans before fleeing.
The teen was taken to the hospital with a concussion and a severe injury to his eye.
