WILLIAMSBURG, Ohio (AP) - A southwest Ohio community will dedicate a monument bench in memory of young brothers whose accidental drowning deaths in 1974 stunned the village.

Williamsburg alumni led the project, with donations from businesses in the Clermont County village just east of Cincinnati.

The granite bench dedicated Sunday will be near the Williamsburg Cemetery burial plot of Tom and Kenny Harris. Tom was 14 and Kenny 11 at the time of their deaths at the Williamsburg Dam.

Sharon Boh was 9 at the time. She says every student from then remembers where they were when they heard the boys had died. She says alumni wanted to make a lasting memorial.

She says the boys’ mother will be brought from a nursing home for the dedication.
