KENNESAW, Ga. (AP) - Police said Sunday that a 25-year-old woman was struck and killed by an SUV as she tried to cross the street after attending the Shaky Boots music festival in Cobb County.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution (https://on-ajc.com/1IKIvdB ) reports Chelsea Tucker, of Lizella, and three others were attempting to cross Busbee Parkway shortly after midnight when Tucker stepped in front of a Toyota 4Runner, according to Cobb Police Officer Alicia Chilton. All four had attended the festival at a Kennesaw State University stadium.

Chilton said investigators believe Jordan Padgett, 24, of Woodstock, was driving southbound on Busbee Parkway, south of Chastain Road, when he struck Tucker. According to police Tucker died at the scene.

Chilton said alcohol is believed to have been a factor but that no charges were expected to be filed.
