LAUGHLIN, Nev. (AP) - Authorities say a small plane has crashed in Laughlin, killing on one person, sending three others to hospitals, and sparking a brush fire.

Deputy Clark County Fire Chief Jeff Buchanan says the plane carrying four people went down about 6 p.m. PDT Sunday.

He says crews arriving on the scene found the aircraft on fire.

They put out the blaze but not before it spread to the surrounding brush, setting off a growing fire that crews worked to extinguish.

Buchanan says two of the people taken to the hospital had burns while the third person’s injuries were not immediately released.

No names were released.

There was no word on the cause of the crash. Authorities say federal agencies are investigating.
