BLASDELL, N.Y. (AP) - Two kittens are clinging to life after they were found in a garbage bin in upstate New York last week.

WGRZ-TV in Buffalo (https://on.wgrz.com/1PN4WPQ ) reports the litter of four was found Friday in two plastic bags that had been tossed into the large container in the village of Blasdell, just south of Buffalo.

The kittens’ umbilical cords still attached when workers emptying the garbage found the animals. Two of the kittens have since died.

Sharon Fisk of a local rescue organization called the Ten Lives Club says she thinks the owner didn’t want to raise the litter or they were found as a byproduct of a stray cat.
