ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - Alaska State Troopers are investigating two fires in the village of Atmautluak, located west of Bethel.
The Alaska Dispatch News reports (https://bit.ly/1bZoZgv ) that after a fire was reported Saturday afternoon and another early Sunday morning, Troopers flew into the village to investigate.
The fires damaged the village’s Tribal Office Building and the Moravian Church. The office sustained only minor damage to one room and the outside of the building. The church was destroyed.
Troopers say both fires were started by minors playing with fire.
