DENVER (AP) - A body found hanging near an elementary school in suburban Denver prompted a warning to parents to avoid dropping children off where they might see police activity.

Aurora Police spokesman Sgt. Chris Amsler says police got a call just after 7 a.m. about the body hanging from a bridge over a creek just off Arrowhead Elementary School’s grounds. Amsler says police are still investigating and don’t suspect foul play.

Cherry Creek School District spokeswoman Tustin Amole says the school used its emergency contact system to ask parents to drop children off on the south side of the school to avoid interfering with police on the north side, where the body was found. She says by the time classes started at 8:45 a.m. the body had likely been removed.
