LYONS, N.Y. (AP) - A 4-year-old upstate New York boy is hospitalized with serious injuries after police say he was run over by a lawnmower being operated by his father.
State police say the father was mowing the lawn Saturday at his home in the Wayne County town of Lyons when he put the machine in reverse. Troopers say he didn’t see his son walk behind him and ran over the boy.
The boy was airlifted to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester for treatment of serious injuries. No other details have been released.
