MONROE, Wash. (AP) - A Monroe, Washington, police spokeswoman says a decomposed body has been found in a park.

The Daily Herald of Everett reports that police spokeswoman Debbie Willis said Monday the condition of the body made it impossible to quickly determine the person’s age or gender. Investigators worked at the park on Monday.

The Snohomish County medical examiner’s office is expected to determine the cause and manner of death.

The body was found late Sunday in Al Borlin Park.

Monroe is northeast of Seattle.
