AMARILLO, Texas (AP) - Amarillo police say a 43-year-old man has died after being subdued by security officers during an argument at an outdoor concert and party.

Michael Glen Wilcox of Amarillo was pronounced dead at a hospital. Autopsy results were pending Monday.

Lt. Erick Bohannon says police on Saturday responded to a hospital about a deceased man in the emergency room.

Police say Wilcox and some friends earlier attended Homer’s Backyard Ball, featuring several country bands.

Bohannon says some attendees began to argue. Police say security personnel used pepper spray, a baton, a stun gun and their hands to control the individuals.

Wilcox was taken to the ground, handcuffed and became unresponsive. Emergency personnel were unable to revive him.

A message left with the event organizers wasn’t immediately returned Monday.
