LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - A Little Rock man who was accused of robbing a convenience store while on parole for murder has been sentenced to 20 years in prison.

The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette (https://bit.ly/1eak8L8 ) reports 38-year-old Antwan Terrell Scott pleaded guilty to theft, being a felon in possession of a firearm and two counts of robbery Thursday.

Prosecutors say Scott robbed a Sunshine Food Mart in April 2012. Police reports say Scott and an unidentified accomplice stole the store’s cash register.

Police say the two men escaped in a car driven by a third man. Scott was arrested the next day.

Scott was convicted of first-degree murder in 1995 and sentenced to 40 years in prison. He was paroled in 2006, then returned to prison for six months in 2010 before being released again in 2011.
