GREENWOOD, Del. (AP) - Delaware State Police say a man was fatally injured when the motorcycle he was driving left the road and hit a ditch in Greenwood.

It happened about 8:50 p.m. Friday on Blanchard Road. Police say 58-year-old Edward Plummer of Greenwood was traveling north when his motorcycle failed to make a curve, when off the road and slid until it hit a drainage ditch.

Troopers say Plummer was ejected from the motorcycle. He was flown to Christiana Hospital, where police say he died on Saturday.

The crash is under investigation.
