NASHUA, N.H. (AP) - New Hampshire authorities say they’ve charged a Massachusetts man with murder in the November death of a man who was beaten bloody the night of Nashua’s Winter Holiday Stroll.

The attorney general’s office and Nashua police said Monday that 32-year-old Thomas Smith of Lowell, Massachusetts, was arrested in Manchester in the death of 46-year-old Craig Guillemette.

Authorities say Smith repeatedly battered Guillemette in the head, causing him to fall down a flight of stairs outside Guillemette’s Worcester Street apartment on Nov. 29.

Guillemette was found alive in his apartment the next day and taken to a hospital, but he died several days later.

Smith is to appear in court Tuesday for arraignment.

The attorney general’s office said Monday night that Smith did not have an attorney yet.
