BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - Officials have found the body of a Baton Rouge woman in the heavily-wooded area of a parish and arrested her ex-husband and three others in connection with her death.
Multiple news outlets report 54-year-old Taherah Ghassemi, who had been missing since April 11, was found in the St. Helena Parish on Saturday. On Sunday, police arrested her husband, 64-year-old Hamid Ghassemi, along with 33-year-old Daniel Humberto Richter, 20-year-old Tyler Lee Ashpaugh and a 17-year-old boy in what they’re calling a murder-for-hire plot. Police said they were arrested on suspicion of offenses connected to her death.
In February, court records show Taherah Ghassemi received more than $1.1 million in a divorce settlement. Police found her car torched on April 12.
It is unclear if the four men have lawyers.
