BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. (AP) - Relatives say a Naples man who was struck by lightning at a home under construction in Bonita Springs has died.

The News-Press of Fort Myers (https://newspr.es/1JRVNUy ) reports 36-year-old Rigoberto Diaz-Segura died Saturday night. A family member says he had been taken off life support Friday at Lee Memorial Hospital and died the following day.

A hospital spokesman says Diaz-Segura had been taken off the patient registry but could not confirm the death.

Diaz-Segura was working on a roof Wednesday with his three brothers, Homera, Eduardo and Arturo when the lightning struck. D. Peck Roofing owner Dave Peck says the bolt hit Rigoberto and Homera just before they started to climb down a ladder after hearing thunder.

Homera Diaz-Segura was hospitalized briefly and released.
