DUNN, N.C. (AP) - Sampson County sheriff’s deputies say a resident of Dunn has been charged with murder in the weekend shooting death of his son.
A release from the sheriff’s office says that Jerry Calvin Dale II of Dunn was shot about 4 p.m. Sunday.
His father, 47-year-old Jerry Calvin Dale Sr., has been charged with murder. It was not immediately known if he had an attorney.
Deputies say the shooting resulted from a fight.
