DALY CITY, Calif. (AP) - Authorities say a paraglider has died in a Northern California seaside accident.

The North County Fire Department officials were called to a Daly City park at about 9:30 a.m. Sunday. Witnesses say a paraglider apparently crashed into the side of a cliff while paragliding near Mussel Rock.

Rescue workers rappelled down the cliff with a rope to get to the paraglider, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officials didn’t release the name, gender or other information about the paraglider.

Daly City is just south of San Francisco.
