OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - While heavy rains have tapered off in much of Oklahoma, high water covers some roads.

Oklahoma’s emergency managers said Monday a number of highways are still closed, including:

In Carter County, Highway 77S is closed one mile south of the US-70 junction;

In Cherokee County, Highway 80 is closed 4 miles west of Hulbert between Oklahoma 51 and U.S. 62;

In Cotton County, Highway 5B is closed between Oklahoma 5A and U.S. 70;

In Johnston County, U.S. 377 is closed just south of Tishomingo;

In Kiowa County, Oklahoma 54 is closed north of Highway 9 near Gotebo

In LeFlore County, U.S. 270 is closed south of its junction with U.S. 271 between Wister and Heavener.

Detours are in place in many areas. Motorists are urged to not go around barricades.
