ROSEBURG, Ore. (AP) - The remains of a Coos County man killed in the Korean War have been buried at Roseburg.

Cpl. Ben Lee Brown died in 1951 at age 18.

His remains were among those that North Korea returned in 1993. But some coffins contained the remains of more than one service member. It took scientists years to identify individual remains. Brown’s were identified last month through DNA from his brother and sister.

The Roseburg News-Review (https://bit.ly/1Hqf81z ) reports that a military honor guard greeted the plane carrying Brown’s remains last Tuesday at Portland International Airport, and the burial was Friday at Roseburg National Cemetery Annex.

Brown grew up in Fourmile, south of Bandon.
