BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (AP) - Authorities are investigating after a body was pulled from the Pequonnock River in Bridgeport in front of dozens of people enjoying the weekend weather, including families with children.

The Connecticut Post (https://bit.ly/1HpyN1u ) reports that police were alerted to the body at about 4:30 p.m. Sunday at a waterfront park along Knowlton Street.

The male was wearing an orange shirt, blue jeans, boxers, tan belt and a baseball cap.

Police say there was no sign of trauma on the body and a cause of death has not yet been determined.

The man’s name has not been made public.
