CARY, N.C. (AP) - Police say a Cary woman has been arrested and charged in connection with the March death of her 4-month-old son.

WRAL-TV (https://bit.ly/1cJSl38 ) reports 33-year-old Shenequa Lashan Walker was arrested and sent to Wake County Jail Sunday.

On March 3, Walker’s son was found unresponsive in her home after she contacted emergency dispatchers. According to a 911 recording, Walker told the dispatcher she woke up and found her son not breathing, with blood coming from his nose. The baby was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say Walker is charged with child abuse, willful act or omission causing serious bodily injury and involuntary manslaughter. Her first court appearance is scheduled for Monday.
