LOS ANGELES (AP) - Authorities say 10 people in a van suffered minor injuries when the vehicle collided with a Metro Gold Line train in East Los Angeles.

The California Highway Patrol says the collision apparently happened when the van made a left turn at an intersection Sunday evening.

The exact cause of the crash is under investigation Monday.

Officials say all 10 occupants of the van, including the 30-year-old driver, were transported to a hospital to be treated for minor injuries. Sheriff’s Lt. Marc Lucio says they were checked for complaints of pain.

City News Service says the train had four passengers and the operator aboard. Nobody on the train was hurt.
