MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (AP) - West Virginia has signed Georgia high school forward Lamont West.

Coach Bob Huggins announced West’s signing Monday.

The 6-foot-8 West averaged nearly 18 points, eight rebounds and three blocks per game this past season at Miller Grove High in Lithonia, Georgia.

West spent three seasons at Cincinnati’s Withrow High, the same school that produced current Mountaineer Devin Williams.

West joins forward Esa Ahmad and guards James Bolden and Teyvon Myers in West Virginia’s recruiting class.
