BAYTOWN, Texas (AP) - A 60-year-old woman has been rescued after getting stuck in the windshield when the pickup truck she was riding in was hit by another vehicle near Houston.

Authorities say the other vehicle was trying to make a left turn in Baytown on Saturday when it turned in front of the pickup, causing it to roll into a ditch.

The Houston Chronicle (https://bit.ly/1bZrQGv ) reports the female passenger, who was not wearing a seatbelt, had to be cut from the windshield by the Baytown firefighters.

She and the 45-year-old man driving the pickup were flown to a hospital in serious condition. Police say they are both expected to survive.

The driver of the other vehicle was not injured and will receive a traffic ticket after allegedly failing to yield.
