MARTIN, Ky. (AP) - An 11-month-old baby has been found crawling in the road during a rainstorm in eastern Kentucky.

WYMT-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1Jw9CtO ) Bryan Hall and his friend Melissa Hall say they were driving in Floyd County on Monday afternoon when they spotted the baby crawling alone in the middle of the road.

Both say the child was soaking wet and dirty.

Paramedics took the baby to the hospital to be checked out, but police say the boy had no significant injuries.

Police arrested the boy’s grandmother, 48-year-old Tammy Cooper, and charged her with second-degree wanton endangerment.

Police say Social Services is involved, but would not reveal who is now taking care of the baby.
