GEORGETOWN, Del. (AP) - Delaware State Police say two men were injured when a motorcycle and pickup truck crashed in Georgetown.

It happened about 7:435 a.m. Tuesday on County Seat Highway. Troopers say 33-year-old Joseph M. Rose of Georgetown was driving a pickup truck and was trying to make a left turn onto Asbury Road.

Police say a motorcycle operated by 47-year-old Eduardo Giorgi of Salisbury, Maryland, was traveling on the shoulder.

Authorities say the front bumper of the truck struck the motorcycle, throwing Giorgi off the vehicle.

Giorgi was taken to a local hospital in critical condition. Rose was treated and released at another hospital.

The crash is under investigation.
