PORTLAND, Maine (AP) - A Biddeford man who sold crack cocaine and heroin in the Lewiston area has been sentenced to almost six years in federal prison.

Prosecutors say 25-year-old Garrett Griffin was sentenced Monday in U.S. District Court in Portland to five years and 10 months behind bars to be followed by three years of probation.

Griffin pleaded guilty in January to charges of possession with intent to distribute cocaine base and heroin.

Federal authorities say Griffin sold the drugs in 2014.

He was arrested last June when federal agents learned he was scheduled to make a drug delivery and intercepted him when he arrived to make the delivery.
