FORT CARSON, Colo. (AP) - Fort Carson is getting a new commander for a unit that helps wounded soldiers prepare for the future in civilian or military life.

Lt. Col. David R. Laydon will take charge of the Warrior Transition Battalion Tuesday. He succeeds Lt. Col. Aaron M. Termain.

Termain held the job since March 2013. More than 670 soldiers went through the battalion under his command. His next assignment hasn’t been announced.
