NEW ORLEANS (AP) - New Orleans police say a 30-year-old New Orleans man is accused of trying repeatedly to kiss a woman, then pulling a box cutter when a bouncer said he couldn’t follow her into a French Quarter club.

Officer Frank B. Robertson III says Oscar Sanchez was booked Friday on three counts of aggravated assault. He remained in jail Tuesday. It was unclear whether he has an attorney who could comment.

Robertson says Sanchez, appearing drunk, approached a couple, trying to kiss the woman. He says the couple walked away, but Sanchez followed them to Molly’s at the Market.

Robertson says the couple described his conduct, and the bouncer stopped Sanchez. Robertson says Sanchez then took out a small box cutter and flourished it at all three. He was later arrested by officers nearby.
