DETROIT (AP) - A 54-year-old man has been charged after authorities say he crashed a pickup truck into a stopped squad car, injuring four officers, a 16-year-old car break-in suspect and another person.

The Wayne County prosecutor’s office says Julian K. Duncan of Detroit was charged after Saturday night’s crash with failure to use due care causing injury, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol second offense and driving without a license.

It’s unclear if he has a lawyer. He’s due in court on Wednesday.

Prosecutor Kym Worthy says in a statement that the impact of the crash caused the police car to crash into the rear end of another police car, injuring the officers and two civilians. The prosecutor’s office says those hurt were treated at the hospital.
