LOGAN, Utah (AP) - The Cache County Sheriff’s Office says a 34-year-old male employee of Bear River Mental Health was arrested and faces four felony charges including rape of a 16-year-old girl who may have been a client.

Donavan D. Faucette of Hyrum is scheduled to be arraigned 9 a.m. Thursday.

Lawyer Shannon Demler offered no comment Tuesday except that he was working to gather all the information in his client’s case.

Bear River CEO Reed Ernstrom says Faucette worked at Bear River for several years as a licensed clinical social worker before resigning Sunday. Ernstrom says that’s when Faucette called a supervisor to explain what happened. The supervisor called authorities.

The Deseret News (https://bit.ly/1GmPcSX) reports Faucette was assigned to work with Cache County school students but the teen wasn’t enrolled in the schools.
