MARQUETTE, Mich. (AP) - Michigan’s Upper Peninsula is getting a late taste of wintry weather.

The National Weather Service says temperatures are in the 30s on Tuesday morning in the northern part of the state and snow is falling.

Snow showers were expected to take place throughout the day. MLive.com reports road surfaces should be warm enough to make the snow melt. There’s also a freeze warning in effect Tuesday night for the northern portion of Michigan’s Lower Peninsula.
