Fans at the third game of the NCAA softball regional between Louisiana-Lafayette and Baylor on Sunday were told there wasn’t time to sing “The Star-Spangled Banner,” but promptly ignored the announcement.

Players stopped their warmups when fans at Lamson Park in Lafayette spontaneously burst into song, Fox Sports reported.

Video posted by Fox shows all the players turn towards the flag in center field, place their hands over their hearts, and join in the crowd-led national anthem.

Louisiana-Lafayette went on to win, 9-1.
