ELIZABETH, N.J. (AP) - Authorities say a man was shot to death at a public housing complex in northern New Jersey.
But a motive for the incident remains under investigation.
Union County prosecutors say the shooting occurred around 10 p.m. Monday at the Oakwood Plaza complex in Elizabeth.
City police officers responding to a call there found 29-year-old Michael Thompkins in a second-floor hallway of one of the complex’s buildings. He had been shot multiple times.
Thompkins was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
No other injuries were reported in the shooting.
No arrests have been made.
