FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) - The University of Arkansas System will ask trustees to increase tuition at its four-year universities except for the Little Rock branch.

The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette (https://bit.ly/1dh7M3W ) reports the board of trustees will consider the tuition and fee proposals, among other items, on Wednesday and Thursday at the University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville.

The flagship campus in Fayetteville will ask for a 3.8 percent increase in tuition and mandatory fees for in-state undergraduate students and a 7.5 percent increase for out-of-state tuition.

The Fort Smith and Monticello campuses are also seeking increases. The Little Rock campus will only ask for an increase in mandatory fees.

Two of the system’s five community colleges in De Queen and Hope are asking for tuition increases.
