DAVENPORT, Iowa (AP) - An 18-year-old faces a felony charge after authorities in eastern Iowa say he stabbed a high school student in April.

Drew Romkey was booked into the Scott County Jail in Davenport Wednesday morning after police issued an arrest warrant for him. He was released a short time later on a $10,000 cash bond.

The Quad-Cities Times reports (https://bit.ly/1GpNUH1 ) Romkey is accused of stabbing an 18-year-old high school student four times in the stomach in a residential area on April 11. The student survived but required an extended hospitalization.

Romkey, also a student at the same high school, faces a felony charge of willful injury causing serious injury. An attorney for Romkey says his client will plead not guilty.
